Award Categories
We want to hear who is driving change at Plus X Innovation and in the Brighton community? The Changemakers Award gives you the chance to nominate a colleague, a boss, a friend, or even yourself. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our community and highlight some of the exciting projects taking place in the local area.
Innovation In Business Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This award recognises businesses that have made significant strides in their field, be it developing a new product or introducing a new process or system to an existing business.
Business Growth Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This is for the businesses that has made significant and sustainable growth in their sector. The business may have overcome obstacles and adjusted, identified a need in your market, or developed a new product that rocketed your business to another level.
The judges are looking for businesses that have adapted, developed and contributed to the community.
Social Impact Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This award celebrates organisations or businesses that have positively impacted society through social, sustainability, or community initiatives. The award is open to everyone, including charities and community organisations.
The judges want to hear about the business or organisation's activities and how they have positively impacted the community.
Maker of The Year Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This award recognises individuals or teams that have shown creativity, innovation, and efficacy in developing products that have, or will, positively impact their communities and industries.
The judges are looking for makers who have built great products and done so ethically and sustainably.
Leadership In Business Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This award celebrates Slough's business or charity leaders, those whose leadership has taken organisations to new heights and demonstrates extraordinary skill and expertise.
The winner will be a pioneer who has made an outstanding contribution to a business by leading teams, creating job opportunities and inspiring others.
Sustainability Champion Award [MEMBERS VOTE]
This award recognises businesses or individuals that have made a consistent commitment to sustainability, eco and circular economy thought leadership in their current business/role.
The judges want to hear about the business or individual’s commitment to sustainability and how their actions have driven positive environmental change.
Changemaker Challenge Award [PUBLIC VOTE]
This award recognises the winner of the Brighton Changemaker Challenge, a competition celebrating bold ideas and businesses that are creating positive change and tackling real-world issues. The challenge is open to anyone with an impactful idea, product, or business. Whether you’re just starting out or already delivering solutions, this award is about celebrating innovation with purpose and highlighting those driving meaningful progress in communities.
